3 Of My Favorite Sites to Get Free Books
I read a lot of books, if that hasn’t been made clear by now. And that price wise that can add up pretty quick. However luckily we live in a time where a lot of public domain books have been made widely available. And even those not in the public domain can be borrowed from certain sites. So I thought it would be fun to share with ya’ll some of my favorite places to find free books. 1) Project Gutenberg Project Gutenberg is a non-profit dedicated to digitizing out of print public domain books. They’ve also got bookshelves that are easily searchable by category. I highly recommend their horror, science…

New Cover for Float
I just wanted to share the new cover for my book Float, I think everyone will agree that this cover captures the theme of the book much better. And is also more visually appealing. What I’m Reading This Week
I’m a voracious reader but now that I’m back at a full-time job my reading has slowed up somewhat, but I still thought it would be fun to share what I was reading through this week. The Colorado Kid by Stephen King I loved the show Haven which had five seasons on the Syfy channel and have been wanting to read the book that its loosely based on ever since. I will say that the book is completely different from the TV show. But, I like it, I’ve read a lot of Stephen King over the years and this is different in every way from what he usually writes. That…

New Cover For The Legend of Beacon Swamp
The Legend of Beacon Swamp, is the third book that I wrote. It was always supposed to be a novella, but I think I ended up rushing it out and didn’t tell the story that I wanted to tell. Which is why, over the course of the pandemic I started to rewrite it. And I thought I’d share the new cover here for ya’ll to look at because it’s above and beyond better than what I had before.

Three Great Writing Techniques From the Lester Dent, Robert Heinlein and Dan Harmon
I’m a procrastinator by design, I don’t mean to be but it’s hard for me to break. This mean’s that when I sat down to write I like to try to look up different writing methods that can help me get the most out of my writing time. One of my all time favorite writing methods which I’ve used for many of my projects is the Lester Dent Pulp Fiction Writing Method which is all about putting the most action in a short piece as possible. With a little messing around you can make it work for novels and longer pieces as well. I think it’s a great tool to…

6 Series For People that Like Goosebumps
The success of Goosebumps spawned a lot of similar series when it first came out, and it’s also helped inspire a new generation of middle grade authors to write there own series. I know that it’s monster of the week style has inspired my own work even though I don’t write for young audiences. And for those of you like me that are always looking for new books to read and have been bitten by the Goosebumps bug, here are 6 series that I’m sure you’ll love. 1) FrightVision This is probably the newest series on this list but in my humble opinion it’s the best one in terms of…
